Статья посвящена истории распада Чехословакии на Чехию и Словацкую Республику в 1993 г., рассматривает самые важные этапы этого процесса, начиная с событий «бархатной революции» 1989 г. до 1 января 1993 г., показывает различия в подходах решения развивающегося государственного кризиса в двух частях Чехословакии, особенности этого мирного раздела, когда Прага решила не препятствовать решению Братиславы выйти из состава страны. Кроме того, освещается, почему возник так называемый «словацкий вопрос», в чем состояли его объективные и субъективные предпосылки. В работе уделено внимание последним федеральным, региональным и президентским выборам Чехословакии 1992 г. В конце статьи показано, как удалось лидерам Чехии и Словакии отрегулировать все вопросы будущего раздела, комплексно подойдя к решению этой проблемы, дав основу для будущих добрососедских отношений между двумя странами.Материалы и методы. Целью исследования является анализ причин, особенностей и этапов распада Чехословакии в 1993 г. В ходе написания статьи нами были использованы методы исторического исследования: историческое описание, сравнительно-исторический, исторической реконструкции, ретроспективный метод исторического познания и др.Результаты исследования. Базируясь на достижениях отечественной историографии, на трудах чешских, словацких, французских, американских исследователей, в том числе новейших публикаций, показана ретроспектива возникновения словенского вопроса на различных этапах истории Чехословакии от периода ее становления и до ее двух распадов. Интерес представляют данные опросов накануне самого распада в 1992 году и в новейшее время – 2017 и 2021 гг., которые демонстрируют изменения динамики общественного мнения на прошедший распад Чехословакии в 1993 г.Обсуждение и заключение. Распад Чехословакии, который пошел по самому мягкому, бесконфликтному варианту, стал редким исключением на фоне происходящих катаклизмов на международной арене на рубеже XX–XXI вв., расширив диапазоны вариантов решения сложнейших внутренних межнациональных и межсубъектных проблем. Прошедшие более 30 лет после распада демонстрируют переоценку части словаков и чехов причин и последствий раздела Чехословакии.
Introduction. The article examines the history of the disintegration of Czechoslovakia into the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic in 1993. The most important stages of this process, beginning with the events of the Velvet Revolution of 1989 and ending on January 1, 1993 have been investigated. The differences in approaches to resolving the developing state crisis in the two parts of Czechoslovakia and the specifics of this peaceful partition have been highlighted, when Prague decided not to interfere with Bratislava's decision to secede from the country. The origins of the so-called «Slovak question» and its objective and subjective prerequisites have been considered. The article also focuses on the last federal, regional, and presidential elections in Czechoslovakia in 1992. It has been shown how the leaders of the Czech Republic and Slovakia managed to resolve all issues of the future partition by comprehensively approaching the solution to this problem, laying the foundation for future good-neighbourly relations between the two countries.The materials and methods. The goal of the research is to analyze the causes, characteristics, and stages of the dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993. In writing this article, we used Historical research methods, namely, historical description, comparative history, historical reconstruction, and retrospective historical research have been used in the research.The research results. Drawing on advances in Russian historiography and the works of Czech, Slovak, French, and American researchers, including the latest publications, a retrospective of the emergence of the Slovenian question at various stages in the history of Czechoslovakia, from its inception to its two dissolutions has been presented. Of particular interest are survey data from the eve of the dissolution itself in 1992 and more recently-in 2017 and 2021-demonstrating changes in public opinion dynamics following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993.Discussion and conclusion. The dissolution of Czechoslovakia, which followed the mildest, most conflict-free course, became a rare exception amid the ongoing cataclysms in the international arena at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, expanding the range of options for resolving complex internal, interethnic, and inter-subject problems. Together, the more than 30 years that have passed since the dissolution demonstrate a re-evaluation by some Slovaks and Czechs of the causes and consequences of the division of Czechoslovakia.
