Relevance. The issues considered in the article are a poorly studied aspect of the operational period of the history of the Armavir-Tuapse Railway Joint-Stock Company. Researchers and local historians studying the development of railway communication in the North Caucasus at the beginning of the 20th century did not focus on the people who managed one of the most important regional highways that connected the Black Sea coast with the all-Russian railway network. This, in turn, does not allow us to comprehensively evaluate and analyze the events of the past and clearly demonstrates the relevance of this research.
The goal of the research is to reconstruct the events associated with changes in the management of the operational department of the Armavir-Tuapse Railway from 1914 to 1920, and to restore the professional biographies of the engineers who headed it. This chronological framework is determined by the establishment of the position of the road manager in 1914 and the nationalization of the transport enterprise in 1920, which entailed its liquidation as a legal entity due to the transformation of the general state structure of Russia.
The principles of historicism and objectivity have become the methodological basis of the research. The approaches of systematization and generalization, as well as problem-chronological and retrospective methods have been used. Unpublished documents stored in the federal, regional and municipal archives of the Russian Federation have been chosed as a source base for the research.
The result of the research. Apart from introducing professional biographies of railway engineers and the chronology of changes in the management of the operational management of the Armavir-Tuapse railway, the role and characteristics of the personal contribution to the organization of railway freight and passenger transportation on this highway have been analyzed.
The relevance of the research is due to the rise of domestic industry and the tendency to restore light industry in the regions of the country. Despite the great scientific interest in the industry and fashion of the Soviet period, research on the history of the development, formation and functioning of light industry in Adygea has not been carried out, and therefore the chosen topic is very relevant. The problem of restoration and development of light industry, both in the country and in the region, solves a huge layer of economic and social problems of society, one of the main ones is the saturation of the domestic market with high-quality and affordable consumer goods. The goal of the research is a retrospective analysis of the activities of the Maikop sewing factory from the period of creation to the liquidation of the enterprise, based on significant periods of production. The research methods used are structural-functional, historical-genetic, chronological, retrospective, statistical, comparativetypological ones. The results of the research are the first published archival documents on the activities of the Maikop Sewing Factory, as well as the presented retrospective analysis of the factory activities, which makes it possible to assess the contribution of the Adygea sewing industry to the economic development of the region during the period of developed socialism, ensuring a steady increase in the well-being of the people, satisfying consumer demand.
As a result of the research, the material on the history of the Maikop Sewing Factory, one of the cityforming enterprises of Adygea, has been systematized and introduced into scientific circulation. The industry began its development with a small hosiery cooperative “Rising Star”, which united various artisans and craftsmen. Over the next seventy years of its existence, the cooperative grew into a large industrial sewing enterprise, the production structure of which had a complete technological cycle. The factory included three branches, the total number of which was more than 2,000 employees. In the mid-1980s, the Maikop Sewing Factory was modernized with new foreign high-performance equipment, which allowed it to increase its industrial potential. The enterprise repeatedly emerged as the winner of socialist competitions at various levels, the factory teams annually participated in internal factory competitions, fulfilling the production plan by 130-140% and always calling on a related team to participate in the socialist competition. The Maikop Sewing Factory had its own brand store, a medical center, two kindergartens and a hostel. This article is a tribute to all the factory employees, and, of course, to the production directors, who throughout the Soviet period of the enterprise’s exis tence served as the very bonds for the entire team: Petr Vasilyevich Petrovsky, Ivan Sergeevich Paliy, Leonid Vasilyevich Fetisov and Lyudmila Kuzminichna Tchaikovskaya.
Introduction. The subject of the research is participation of Ufa railway workers in the revolutionary events in Russia in the period of 1905 – 1907. The relevance of the considered problem is explained by the fact that social conflicts accompany the entire history of mankind; the obtained results can be used to resolve more effectively such conflicts at the present time. The main objectives of the research are to identify the main discontent causes among Ufa railway workers, which prompted the ones to participate in the revolutionary events, to analyze the most radical methods of revolutionary struggle, as well as the actions of the railway administration aimed at combating the revolutionary underground.

Introduction: Relevance of the research is defined by the need to design new methods aimed at enhancing learners’ grammar proficiency, which could meet the requirements of new educational standards in relation to graduates’ communicative competence. A possible reason for graduates’ inability to successfully communicate in the foreign language is ineffective traditional grammar-teaching methods still used at non-linguistic universities. Teaching grammar in line with the communicative approach could help avoid too formal a procedure typical of traditional approaches, and be instrumental in increasing the speaking practice time.
The study is aimed at designing a method of using the interviewing activity borrowed from speaking club sessions in order to work on grammar skills in classes of non-linguists with L2 levels varying from Elementary to Advanced.
Research materials and methods included analysing a pool of relevant publications, testing the method proposed in four groups of non-linguists with levels of English varied from Elementary to Advanced, interviewing the students in the target groups, interpreting the survey results.
The Research results: interviewing activity as a communicative method to teach grammar is successfully applied at Lobachevsky University. Practical recommendations are provided.
Discussion and conclusion. First, the proposed method raises learners’ interest to the subject of the foreign language. Second, it lowers the level of foreign language anxiety and increases foreign language enjoyment. Third, it treats L2 as a means to receive and exchange information, which develops learners’ social interaction skills.
Introduction. The competency-based educational paradigm, being the basis for the implementation of the current Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education, involves focusing on the formation of a competent specialist capable of quickly navigating the changing socio-economic and production spaces, effectively using a large flow of information. The designated competencies are successfully formed in students through involvement in the research work. This circumstance has updated the work on the implementation of the research, the problem of which is to study the research activities of students as a basic component of future professional activity.
The goal of the research is to theoretically substantiate and experimentally confirm the importance of students’ research activities in the professional training of a university.
The object and methods of the research are presented by the analysis of scientific literature, comparison, ranking, generalization, online questionnaires, and visual presentation of the results. The experimental work was carried out on the basis of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Maikop State Technological University.

Introduction. One of the most important criteria for the functioning of a physical education and sports organization is the level of professionalism of its management personnel and, accordingly, the degree of the formation of their competencies. High professionalism of the head of any physical education and sports organization is considered the key to its success. In this regard, the problem of the research is to find optimal ways to form the key competencies of sports managers, which is a pressing scientific problem in the functioning of the modern market of physical education and sports services.
Materials and methods. A set of methods of scientific knowledge: analysis, classification, modeling, generalization, visual presentation of data has been used. The theoretical basis of the research is presented by modern conceptual approaches to the professional activity of a sports manager, the parameters of his/her personal and professional characteristics, as well as the organization of pedagogical activity to form his/her key competencies.
The results of the research are: clarification of the concept of «sports manager» from the standpoint of his/her professional functions and key competencies; substantiation and development, based on current theoretical and methodological provisions, of a model for the formation of key competencies of a sports manager, ensuring productive activities in managing a sports organization.
Discussion and conclusion. A sports manager is considered to be the management team of a physical education and sports organization, whose competence mainly includes issues of organizing and planning the activities of a sports organization. An effective process of managing a sports organization is possible with the development and implementation of the author’s pedagogical model for the formation of key competencies of a sports manager into the system of training and retraining of specialists in the management team, which ensures the development of professional and personal qualities of sports managers and includes three blocks: target, methodological and substantive ones.

Introduction. In the Republic of Belarus special attention is paid to the development of the tourism potential of provincial regions. This is due to the fact that, on the one hand, they have large recreational resources, on the other hand, they are in a vulnerable position due to their remoteness from the capital and large cities. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to study the tourism potential of the Belarusian province.
Materials and methods. A typical example of a provincial recreational region of the Republic of Belarus is the Myadel district. In this regard, in July-August 2024, in-depth interviews with tourists renting farmsteads on the shores of (near) lakes in the studied region were organized. The sample population of the study was 12 people.
The Research results. The survey results have shown that the Belarusian province attracts travelers with its cleanliness, tidiness, natural beauty, and tranquility. Respondents were satisfied with their vacation in the Myadel district. Characterizing the living conditions of the rented farmstead, they emphasized the price-quality ratio. As a rule, the respondents received the housing they expected. It has been found that the social infrastructure of the resort village of Naroch and the city of Myadel is most adapted to the needs of tourists. However, the recreational zone of the region is much wider and requires the construction of canteens/cafes/bars, equipped beaches, sports grounds for adults, specialized areas for children in all popular tourist settlements of the Myadel region.
Discussion and conclusion. Investments are needed for the development of the region. The results of the study can be used in the development of investment projects aimed at improving the social infrastructure of popular tourist settlements.
